An Emotional Hoda Kotb Returns to ‘Today’ After Two-Month Maternity Leave With Adorable Photos of Baby Haley Joy
After a two-month maternity leave, Hoda Kotb returned to Today, and she brought along plenty of photos and video of her new, 8-week-old adopted daughter, Haley Joy Kotb.
Kotb was ecstatic and emotional when talking about her new daughter, saying, “I think that she’s the puzzle piece. When they first handed me Haley, I was scared to hold her. And the minute she was in my arms, it was a perfect fit.”
Haley Joy has already gotten to meet most of her mommy’s co-hosts, posing for photos with Matt Lauer and Al Roker. “I want her to know that she is loved by me, by family. And by everyone who has held her. I don’t think she’s going to know what to do with all the love,” Kotb said.
