With awards season pushing forward full steam ahead, Peacock Theater in downtown LA serves as the next stop on the calendar as Hollywood prepares for the 2023 Emmy Awards.

GLAAD kicked off the festivities leading up to the big day with a private event on Wednesday night to celebrate the organization receiving the Governors Emmy Award. The festive affair at Kathy and Rick Hilton’s estate included Niecy Nash. Billy Porter, Billy Eichner, Zachary Quinto, Lukas Gage, Carla Gugino, Shangela, Dylan Mulvaney and GLAAD’s Sarah Kate Ellis.

On Thursday, Canada’s Consul General and Ambassador will recognize Canadian actors who received Emmy noms, including Luke Kirby (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) and Susan Coyne (“Daisy Jones & the Six”).

The 2023 Emmys were originally slated for Sept. 18 but were postponed to Jan. 15 due to the historic WGA and SAG-Aftra strikes. Now, with host Anthony Anderson, the big show is scheduled to take place on Jan. 15 and will air on Fox.

Canada at the Emmys
