While Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will likely not appear in the upcoming Men in Black spin-off, we do know one actor from the original trilogy is coming back for more extraterrestrial action.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Emma Thompson – who played Agent O in Men in Black 3 – will reprise the role for the movie.

Leading the spin-off, which begins production later this month, are Chris Hemsworth and Tess Thompson, two London-based agents who become head on a globe-trotting murder mystery.

Also cast are Liam Neeson, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rafe Spall, with French dancers Les Twins (Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois) also having a role.

Written by Iron Man duo Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, MIB has F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious, The Italian Job) attached to direct.

MIB has a scheduled release of 14 June 2019. Before then, Emma Thompon can be seen in cinemas in Johnny English Strikes Again later this year.
