Emma Stone arrived at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 premiere of Kinds of Kindness, her third film in collaboration with Poor Things writer and director Yorgos Lanthimos, dressed in a stunning shimmery Louis Vuitton gown in the deep-V silhouette she’s all but made her signature. The intricate beading almost created the illusion of velvet or chenille, adding to the overall überluxe vibe.

The rich burgundy color complemented her auburn hair, which she wore in loose waves that just brushed her collarbone. The 35-year-old completed her minimalist glam with champagne eye shadow and a soft, blush-pink lip gloss. Mixed-metal chain earrings and a single embellished gold cuff finished the look.

And let’s hear it one more time for the accessories, because damn, that’s a lot of bling:

Emma Stone was joined on the Cannes Film Festival 2024 red carpet by Lanthimos as well as her Kinds of Kindness costars Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe (another longtime Lanthimos collaborator), Hong Chau, Hunter Schafer, Margaret Qualley, and Joe Alwyn, America’s favorite London Boy.

The Cannes premiere comes on the heels of Stone’s second Oscar win, this time for Poor Things. (Her first was for 2016’s La La Land. As you may recall, it caused some drama.) The press tour for the film, as well as the 2024 awards season, was filled with gorgeous gowns, many of them in the same deep-V style as her Cannes look. If it ain’t broke…

And we can probably expect even more to come. In addition to her successful awards run for Poor Things, Stone also received several accolades for her first project with Lanthimos, 2018’s The Favourite, including a best supporting actress Oscar nomination. So yeah, Stone’s 2025 Oscar campaign starts now.
