Yorgos Lanthimos’s latest film “Kinds of Kindness” held its red carpet premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Among the stars who attended the event, “Poor Things” Oscar-winner Emma Stone was on hand for her latest collaboration with the filmmaker, alongside costars Hunter Schafer, Margaret Qualley and more.

Emma Stone
Emma Stone wore this glittering custom Louis Vuitton gown for the red carpet premiere of “Kinds of Kindness.” The dress featured shimmering elements cascading over the fabric of the sleeveless merlot gown. The back of Stone’s dress also featured sheer bands of fabric connecting the straps to the skirt. Her look was curated by stylist Petra Flannery.
Hunter Schafer
Actress Hunter Schafer dazzled in a brilliant blue strapless gown by Armani Privé. The fabric of the dress featured a unique sheen and complemented Schafer’s shoes. Schafer’s dress was coordinated with glittering statement earrings and a matching necklace. Her look was curated by Dara.
Margaret Qualley
Margaret Qualley opted for a tiered tulle look courtesy of Chanel’s spring 2024 Couture collection. The sleeveless blush pink gown featured playful elements, such as gathered fabric and delicate appliqués on the drop-waist skirt of the dress as well as a textual bodice.
Eva Green
Cannes Film Festival jury member Eva Green opted for an ornate look that made the actress look like a walking work of art. Green wore a piece from Iris van Herpen’s fall 2022 Couture collection, which included insect-like elements, sheer paneling and statement sleeves in black, white and translucent fabrics.
Victoria Justice
Actress Victoria Justice opted for the sheer trend for the “Kinds of Kindness” red carpet premiere at Cannes Film Festival as well. She fashioned a look from Zuhair Murad’s pre-fall 2024 collection, which featured a sheer black skirt with lines of glittering details, a fitted bodice and off the shoulder cap sleeves.

The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival occurs from May 14 to 25. “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig serves as the jury president for this year’s festival, held in the South of France. Several high-profile premieres, including Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and “Furiosa” starring Anya Taylor-Joy, are expected to take place, while Meryl Streep will receive an honorary Palme d’Or.
