Emma Roberts' L.A. Home Has ‘Doll Wall’ She Hopes Will ‘Come to Life’ — See Inside!

“I loved the idea of making my very own grown-up dollhouse,” the ‘AHS: Delicate’ star says

Emma Roberts’ Los Angeles home is like a real-life dollhouse!

The Holidate actress, 33, called on designers Pierce & Ward to bring her vision to life inside her enchanting abode, she tells Architectural Digest during an interview for their May 2024 issue.

“Minimalism is not my strong suit. Every house I’ve ever lived in feels a little bit like a cabinet of curiosities,” she tells the outlet, adding, “I loved the idea of making my very own grown-up dollhouse.”

During a video tour of her home, Roberts emphasizes that she really wanted to create a home base for her and her three-year-old son Rhodes — whom she shares with ex Garrett Hedlund — that’s “filled with our memories and our love.”

Inside the eclectic space, Roberts reveals her unique “doll wall” located near her office area. Each shelf is filled with her collectibles from her childhood and things she found as an adult.

“I’m really excited to show you guys the doll wall,” she says, gesturing to her “drunk cowgirl” Barbie and Blythe dolls. “I’m madly obsessed with them — in love with them. I do love all of them,” she adds.

In true American Horror Story fashion (Roberts currently stars in Delicate, the 12th season of the FX show), the actress says she would love it if her dolls could “come to life” in the middle of the night.

“I hope that every night — that they’ll come wake me up. It would be so thrilling,” she shares.

Meanwhile in the living room, Roberts says she loved the idea of matching the fireplace to her striped armchairs.

“I feel like there can never be enough stripes or fringe or tassels in a house,” she says. “I know people would disagree, but I love it.”

She says the most time is spent in the TV room, where her son’s toys can be found in addition to mementos from her own childhood. More dolls adorn the shelves and her former “timeout chair” from when she was a kid has proved to be a great conversation starter.

“And then we have what is the start of a little Joni Mitchell shrine, dare I say,” she adds. “I just love her so much.”

Roberts then brings viewers into the kitchen, which is equipped with a center island that she shares “makes it so fun to hang out in here.” The space is also home to her favorite vintage cereal ads and another one of her beloved collections.

“I have a very fun mug collection. I love Halloween, I love witches — so these were a must for me,” she adds, showing off some of her cherished pieces.

In the primary suite, Roberts wanted to include florals and pink tones wherever she could. One of her favorite design details in the space is her bed’s headboard that matches perfectly to the drapes, making it look like “one big painting.”

Her bathroom mirrors a similar palette with the “pomegranate-colored” tiles and “pops of pink” in the curtains. The freestanding bathtub makes it her favorite room to “decompress” in and take some time for herself, she adds.

As for her outdoor space, Roberts says she was immediately drawn to the rocks placed all around the pool as she didn’t want “your typical, sleek pool area.” She says it reminds her of jumping off of rocks as a kid.
