Emma Roberts Brought Her Son Rhodes on a Milestone Vacation & the Picture Is Pure Magic
Do you remember your first family vacation? I was just 3 years old, but I still remember visiting Disneyland with my parents and my older brother. The fantastic trip was full of magic — except when I couldn’t find Sleeping Beauty inside her castle — and it sparked a love of travel for the rest of my life (and Disney movies, because duh!). Emma Roberts is creating the same wonderful memories for her 3-year-old son Rhodes. She took him on a milestone first trip to Disneyland, and the picture is so sweet.
“The only thing that could make the most magical place on earth more magical?” the American Horror Story star, who shares Rhodes with ex Garret Hedlund, wrote on Instagram this week. “Seeing it with your son for the first time 🌟 @disneyland 🩵 @disneyparks 📸”

One arm is around her son, who is turned to gaze at the amazing view. He’s dressed in a pink striped t-shirt and jeans, with long blonde hair that looks exactly lke his mama’s. He’s having such a good time, he can’t even turn his eyes away!
Earlier this week, the Madame Web star shared another photo with her only son. This one looks to be taken in their backyard, with little tricycles and a kid-sized soccer net set up. Roberts is crouched down with her arms wide open as Rhodes runs into her arms. He has the biggest smile on his face, and he looks so happy to see her. “best feeling in the world 🩵,” she captioned the sweet post.
In an interview on The TODAY Show with Hoda & Jenna this month, the Scream Queens alum shared that she is trying to teach her son good manners. “I’m trying to reinforce the ‘thank you,’ but take away the ‘no.’ … To things that are simple, like dinnertime: [He says] ‘No, thank you,’ and I’m like, ‘Actually, you’re welcome.’”
“I feel like the way to get kids to do stuff, you have to present it in a very grand way, so I’m like, ‘Your bath is ready, sir. Look at all these toys,’” she continued. “I’m like, ‘Here is your gorgeous meal to eat’ and they’re still like, ‘No, thank you.’”
Oof, been there, mama! Kids are not easy, but getting the chance to take them to Disneyland makes all the other, more stressful moments, worth it.
