When it comes to makeup and skincare, Emma Chamberlain is always game to try something new. As a result, she's grown more confident in the beauty choices she's made, whether that means embracing her natural features with minimal makeup or going all out with bold glam (bleached eyebrow included).

"I feel like I've figured out what truly works for me," the Anything Goes podcast host, 22, tells PEOPLE. "You have to learn how to be intuitive with your skin."

Her role as a a Lancôme ambassadress has also influenced her beauty evolution. “Lancôme really helps you find your thing and working with them so intimately has just handed me that on a silver platter in a way that made it impossible not to learn things,” Chamberlain says.

Since joining the Lancôme team last year, she's been focused on a special project — the brand's “How Do You Say Beauty in French” series.

In the debut season, filmed in Paris, Chamberlain did everything, from finding her perfect foundation shade to learning about her skin's hydration levels.

“Season one was so fun and it was sort of like watching me meet Lancôme. It was very fresh," Chamberlain tells PEOPLE of what it was like shooting the series, which just returned for its second season on Jan. 31.

Filming the latest installment at the Domaine de la Rose estate, originally founded by Lancôme creator, Armand Petitjean, in Grasse, France (the perfume capital of the world), furthered her connection to the brand. "It was like, now we're together and we're in unison. That was really exciting to me."

As the season plays out, fans will get to see Chamberlain explore the historical property, from its iconic pink (and we mean pink) Rose House to its romantic botanical gardens, where she'll plant her very own Rose gallica. Fun fact: the Lancôme fields are also home to the Centifolia rose found in the Idôle eau de parfum.

“We shot at the most beautiful house in the south of France with these beautiful rose gardens, and we're playing with makeup,” Chamberlain recalls of what it was like to shoot at the destination location. "It was Disneyland for adults."

Back in December. Chamberlain reflected on her most memorable makeup moments from 2023.

"I've been loving to experiment," she told PEOPLE of her approach to her look throughout the year. "Especially when I'm doing a red carpet or a fashion show. I'm just really letting my makeup be an accessory to my look."

Although she switched it up from one event to the next, her goal is the same. “I want it to look cool. I want it to look interesting and intriguing," she said.

That said, the social media superstar admitted that not every makeup moment was a total success. “You're not always going to like everything on you and that's totally fine. But, trying is what's exciting. You're not going to have a hit every time.”

And it's that willingness to take risks that Chamberlain said would impress her teen self. "She'd be like, 'oh, whoa, girl, you really don't give a f- - -, do you? That's cool.'"
