Eminem and Fortnite's live event: Here's how to get into the Dec. 2 Big Bang game

Fortnite is taking the gaming world by storm again.

In Fortnite, an online video game released by Epic Games in 2017, 100 players go head-to-head in mortal combat. The goal is to be the last one standing. Players start off by sky diving onto an island where they are given an ax and must look for more weapons while avoiding an electrical storm.

The field of play gets smaller as players are eliminated. There are constant updates on how each player is killed. Gamers can choose what mode they’d like to play in, including solo, duo or squad mode. Adding friends to your squad allows you to play as a team.

The big news this week is that Fortnite is hosting a live event in December and Eminem might be involved.

What is happening to Fortnite on December 2?

That's the day Fortnite will host a live event that will mark a new beginning for the game and include an appearance by Eminem, according to a press release.

All players who take part in the event will get the Big Bang Loading Screen.

New skins such as Rap Boy, Slim Shady and Marshall Never More — with matching accessories — will be in the Item Shop starting at 5 p.m. MST on Wednesday, Nov. 29. If you attend the Big Bang, you will unlock the Marshall Magma style for the Marshall Never More outfit.

What time is the Fortnite live event December 2?

The Big Bang Fortnite event will start at noon MST on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023.

How to join the Fortnite live event on Xbox, PS4?

You can join the Fortnite live event by checking out the Battle Royale tile in Discover, 30 minutes prior to the start time. You can jump in before that and gear up with any of your cosmetics.

You can invite parties of up to four players.

If you don’t have a dedicated gaming device you can use Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Amazon Luna to play Fortnite through could streaming on your computer or mobile device.

How can I watch the Fortnite live event 2023?

Content creators in the Support-A-Creator, or SAC, program will be able to host VOD content from the live event. They can put it on YouTube and monetize it for seven days, with no takedown notifications.

To monetize the Big Bang content, SAC members will need to link their YouTube and Support-A-Creator accounts. When uploading, they need to make sure to put Unlisted or Public.

Note: Twitch creators who stream the Big Bang may be flagged by third-party copyright-detecting systems, so YouTube is probably your best bet for watching the live event.
