Eminem has expressed his willingness to collaborate on a joint-album with 50 Cent, as the rap legend said he’s available to assist Fif in “whatever” way needed, musically.

On Sunday (Jan. 28), DJ Whoo Kid shared a phone call between himself and Eminem on SiriusXM’s Shade 45, during which Whoo Kid asks Em about the validity of a rumored collab album between the two. Seemingly feigning oblivion, Em questioned the source of that rumor. “Where’d that come from?” he asked. “I don’t know whose idea that was but that’s crazy.”

The Detroit native continued to react positively to the thought of him and 50 forming a duo for a full-length project. “Whatever he needs from me, I’m here. That sh*t would be crazy though, an album with me and him.” Em said that he’s been attempting to get the G-Unit leader to record another studio album, as his fifth studio album, Animal Ambition, was released nearly a decade ago.

“I’m trying to get him to make another album so bad,” Em revealed. “We need another 50 album, like really bad. Fif is on a roll right now. He’s been on a roll since the tour.” As far as his own musical plans, Em noted that he’s “working on a little something,” but didn’t divulge further details.

Eminem and 50 Cent’s collaborative history dates back more than 20 years, as the two worked together on the 8 Mile soundtrack cuts “Love Me” and “Rap Game” in 2002. Eminem appeared on the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ tracks “Patiently Waiting” and “Don’t Push Me” the following year, as well as on “Gatman & Robbin'” from Fif’s sophomore album The Massacre.

Additional collaborations involving both Eminem and 50 Cent include “Crack A Bottle,” “We All Die One Day,” “Warrior Pt. 2,” and “Encore.”

A collaboration between Eminem and 50 Cent may have to take a backseat for the foreseeable future, as Em and his hometown are still reeling from their Detroit Lions’ defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship on Sunday (Jan. 28). The Lions, who reached the NFC Championship game for the first time since 1991, blew a 17-point halftime lead over the 49ers, eventually falling 34-31 after being outscored 27-7 in the second half.

Prior to the game, Em spoke on his sole focus being the Lions’ championship hopes, as the team has yet to appear in a Super Bowl in the franchise’s history. “My life is literally on pause right now until this sh*t is all said and done,” he explained. “Our team is amazing right now. We can’t change anything. I don’t even wanna change the f**kng hat I wore last week. Like whenever we win, I’m so superstitious bro, I be wearing the same underwear all year. I haven’t changed them one time.”
