EXCLUSIVE: Revenge star Emily VanCamp has found her next role, and it’s a juicy one.

VanCamp is leading Canadian legal procedural Prejudice, which is created and written by Ethel scribe Celeste Parr.

More from Deadline

In Prejudice, VanCamp plays Liesl Wellington, a rising Toronto litigator whose career and marriage to a senator are thrown into upheaval when her past as a sex worker is publicly exposed. Scorned by her field and social circle, she launches her own law firm dedicated to defending the likewise silenced and delegitimized.

Keshet International, Audrey’s Back indie Pixcom and Thruline Entertainment (The Great) are behind Prejudice, which doesn’t have a network attached.

KI CEO Keren Shahar called Prejudice a “heartening legal drama that takes on all the forces that conspire to keep the underdog hidden, silent, unequal, and without agency, There are so many elements about this series that will appeal to audiences, not least having the talented Emily VanCamp cast in the lead role.”

Pixcom President Nicola Merola labeled Parr — who has penned the Shira Haas starrer Ethel, about a pioneering conductor, and is working on a TV adaptation of Heather Marshall’s Looking For Jane – “one of Canada’s top TV writers.”

VanCamp, who played Emily Thorne in ABC’s Revenge, also has been seen in Brothers & Sisters and Captain America: Civil War.

KI has developed and produced several international productions for global platforms in recent years. Keshet Studios, its U.S.-based studio, produced When Heroes Fly remake Echo3 for Apple TV+ and A Small Light for Disney+ and National Geographic and co-produced with ABC Signature, while Keshet UK produced False Flag-remake Suspicion for Apple TV+.

VanCamp is repped by Thruline Entertainment and UTA. Parr is also repped by Thruline Entertainment and Carl Liberman at The Character Talent Agency.
