Emily Ratajkowski Channels Sporty Spice in Parachute Pants and a Sports Bra

If I had to guess what Emily Ratajkowski was listening to on her latest stroll through New York City, I’d have to go with “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, because she was giving off some serious Sporty Spice vibes on Monday.

The model and My Body author’s most recent off-duty look had a big Y2K flavor and athletic flair that recalled the girl group’s Melanie C, whose style was marked by baggy track pants and itty-bitty tank tops. In addition to channeling the pop icon, Ratajkowski’s ensemble, of course, included some It girl staples.

Starting up top, EmRata seemed to be ushering in summer in a ribbed light-gray sports bra, which she wore like a crop top. She paired the piece with the most Y2K bottoms: parachute pants in the color of the season, firehouse red, along with the shoes all the cool girls can’t stop wearing, white Adidas Sambas with black accents. She added a beige puffer coat tied around her waist (because NYC weather can be so unpredictable) and elevated the look with layers of gold chain necklaces of various lengths and charms, a diamond ring, two gold bangles, chunky gold hoop earrings, and black cat-eye shades.

Like the rest of us, it appears Ratajkowski is ready for high temps and sunny days. Earlier this month, she embraced springtime with her outfit, composed of a black long-sleeved crop top, light brown slacks, black mules, and a faux-leather jacket in the color of spring: butter yellow. She shielded her eyes with the same cat-eye sunglasses and added a black leather shoulder bag by Loewe and gold square earrings.
