"'Where's Pam?' I'm like, 'She's not here!'"

It's been more than a decade since The Office ended its nine-season run, and fans are still obsessed with the romance between Jenna Fischer's Pam and John Krasinski's Jim. Just ask Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt.

On the latest episode of Variety's Awards Circuit podcast, Blunt revealed that she still gets shouted at for not being Pam. "Do you know how many people still yell out, 'I wish you were with Pam!' like when I'm walking next to him?" Blunt said of Krasinski. "'Where's Pam?' I'm like, 'She's not here!'"

The friendship-turned-relationship-turned-marriage between Jim and Pam was one of the longest-running and most beloved storylines on The Office, which aired from 2005 to 2013 on NBC and remains popular on streaming.

For Blunt, though, there's no bad blood. Of her relationship with Krasinski's former costar, Blunt said, "She's the best. She's one of our dearest friends. We love Jenna."

Fischer has also spoken about the strange attachment fans have to her and Krasinski's characters. "People don't know how John and I are not a couple in real life," she told An Oral History of The Office podcast host Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin Malone on the series, in 2020. "They don't understand it."

She added, "I don't know how to explain it, because it's a little bit like telling kids there's no Santa."
