Emily Blunt recalls her disastrous first kiss: 'I was just horrified'

Emily Blunt may be the star of A Quiet Place Part II, but she was anything but quiet while dishing about her first kiss. The actress appeared Wednesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she detailed her terrible experience while locking lips at her 13th birthday party.

“We played spin the bottle and it was my first kiss,” Blunt recalled. “It was a horror show.”

She shared the kiss with an “attractive” young man named Ashley Clark. And while she remembered his great hair, she also remembered his not so great mouth.

“I was just horrified by the whole thing,” she said. “I just remember surreptitiously wiping my mouth afterwards. It was horrible.”

When Kimmel asked if Clark had “slipped her the tongue,” Blunt replied, “Massively! Not ‘slipped,’ that sounds kind of delicate.”

The audience got a kick out of the story but Blunt felt a little bad for throwing Clark under the bus.

“Poor Ashley,” she said, playfully adding, “I don't know what he's up to right now, [but] what isn't he up to? You know?”

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
