Step Up Revolution Director Scott Speer Charged with Arson After Alleged Domestic Incident

Director Scott Speer has been arrested after allegedly trying to light his house on fire.

Scott, 36, was arrested for arson on Thursday at around 9:30 p.m. in California, according to online jail records. The Step Up Revolution director was released on Friday on a bond of $250,000.

Scott, who previously dated Ashley Tisdale, allegedly tried to burn down his home after getting into a domestic dispute with wife and former Playboy Playmate Michelle Speer, according to TMZ.

According to the outlet, Michelle received minor injuries in the incident. Scott has been charged just with arson at this time, the LAPD confirms to PEOPLE.

A rep for the actor had no comment when reached by PEOPLE.

The director and the model have been married for just under two years.

Speer previously dated Tisdale, 33. The director and the actress started dating in the spring of 2009.

The two were in a relationship for more than two years before splitting in December 2011.

Tisdale moved on a few years later, marrying musician Christopher French in September 2014.
