Saved by the Bell Reunion! Cast Celebrates '30 Years of Friendship' During Group Dinner

It’s been nearly 30 years since the beloved sitcom, Saved by the Bell, first aired on TV — and some members of the cast had a special way of celebrating.

On Saturday night, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley and Tiffani Thiessen — along with some of their spouses — got together to enjoy a reunion dinner, celebrating decades of friendship that started with their work on the popular TV show.

“This is what 30+ years of friendship looks like,” Gosselaar, who played lead heartthrob Zach Morris in the series, wrote on Instagram along with a photo documenting the reunion.

The hit show ran on NBC from 1989 to 1993, and in 2009 Thiessen, who played Kelly Kapowski, explained that those years were during a formative time period for many members of the cast, telling PEOPLE that the cast had “a lot of firsts together.”

Lopez, who played A.C. Slater, also shared Saturday night’s reunion on his social media, posting a video on his Instagram.

“Ok, fun dinner tonight with some old friends,” Lopez cheerfully said into the camera. “Here is Mrs. Lopez, Elizabeth, her husband Greg—who has the best wig ever—Catriona, Mark-Paul, there’s Brady, there’s Tiffany.”

“We ate an obscene amount of food, an obscene amount of food,” he added, jokingly. “The Lopezes are walking home, coming back and getting the car—great group here… now its time to play credit card roulette for the bill.”

In January, Lopez and Gosselaar had a mini-reunion when The Passage star visited the TV host on Extra.
