Riverdale ’s Resident Power Couple Makes a Rare Red Carpet Appearance
Coordinated fashions may have resulted in some of the most iconic celebrity couple’s style moments of all time (Britney and Justin, anyone?), but maintaining one’s individuality can have equal appeal. Case in point: Riverdale costars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart stepped out last night for the premiere of Sprouse’s new film Five Feet Apart in looks that spoke to their personal tastes. Sprouse looked sharp in a Givenchy suit with a striped shirt and Reinhart opted for the romance of a frothy Brock Collection’s gown chosen by her stylist Brit Elkin. They were at opposite ends of the spectrum, but the combination worked beautifully.
Contrast can be as effective as coordination when dressing as a pair. The sea foam lace and unapologetic prettiness of Reinhart’s dress isn’t so much at odds with Sprouse’s modish suit, as it makes the whole package look sleeker. Much like their opposites-attract on-screen characters, Reinhart and Sprouse have found a way to complement each other while keeping the personalities that made audiences fall in love with them in the first place.
