Lucifer season 4 trailer asks if Chloe can truly accept the Devil

How will Chloe (Lauren German) react to seeing Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) face? That’s been the question on everyone’s mind since Lucifer‘s season 3 finale, which cliffhung on Chloe finally discovering that her devilish partner is exactly who he says he is. Thankfully, the fantasy-procedural’s new season 4 trailer offers a hint at her reaction.

On Thursday, Netflix, Lucifer‘s new home, released the long-awaited season 4 promo, which teases that Chloe may be struggling with her new knowledge.

“Could you accept who I truly am?” Lucifer asks Chloe, who tearfully replies, “I don’t know.” Honestly, that’s a reasonable response to finding out that your friend/potential love-interest may be Satan himself.

Thankfully, though, it doesn’t seem that Lucifer will be alone this season. Although Chloe is having a hard time dealing with this new information, Eve (Inbar Lavi), Lucifer’s first love who reenters his life this season, assures him that she loves him just the way she is.

“You don’t have to change. You’re already perfect,” Eve tells Lucifer.

It seems like Lucifer is creating quite the love triangle in season 4. In the words the man himself, “This is going to be so much fun.”

The complete 10-episode fourth season launches May 8 on Netflix.
