Brady Bunch house gets new door, Maureen McCormick teases HGTV show

Here’s the story, of a brand-new front door…

The iconic Brady Bunch house is getting a new look to welcome visitors, and series star Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) showed off the spruced-up entryway on social media Tuesday. She posted a snapshot featuring an adorable pose of her stacked in the doorway with former costar Christopher Knight (Peter Brady) and HGTV personalities Jonathan and Drew Scott (Property Brothers).

“Fun day,” she wrote alongside the photo. “Just installed the front door on #TheBradyBunchHouse! Can’t wait for you to see the inside on @hgtv⁩.”

The North Hollywood home that served as the exterior shot on the classic sitcom is getting a massive makeover courtesy of HGTV, which will be showcased on the new show A Very Brady Renovation.

It was previously announced that original cast members McCormick, Knight, Barry Williams (Greg), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), and Susan Olsen (Cindy) were gathered to walk through the newly renovated digs.

HGTV made the winning bid on the Brady Bunch house last August (beating out former NSYNC member Lance Bass, who preemptively announced that his offer on the house had been accepted), and has since taken on a “full-scale overhaul” of the home, including adding an additional 2,000 square feet to the original floor plan. According to a press release, the plan is to restore the home to its 1970s glory. After all, it’s reportedly the second-most photographed home in America, after the White House.

A Very Brady Renovation is set to premiere in September and will feature a raft of celebrity guests.
