'The Addams Family' teaser trailer welcomes home Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac

The Addams family have found a new home in animation. Snaps for that!

Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac lend their voices to drop-dead gorgeous Morticia and ghoulishly handsome Gomez in the first Addams Family teaser trailer, revealing these not-quite-family-friendly neighbors.

The first footage is full of creepy crawlies, torture experiments, a new twist to the game of Battleship, and a joke about how there are usually demonic clowns on the ends of red balloons.

Chloë Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard voice children Wednesday and Pugsley, while Nick Kroll lends his talents to Uncle Fester, and Bette Midler voices Grandmama.

Directed by Sausage Party‘s Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, The Addams Family sees the Addamses planning for a massive family function, while dealing with reality TV host Margaux Needler (Allison Janney), who is “consumed with a desire for absolute suburban pastel perfection.” Ick.

Set the date for Oct. 11, because that’s when the Addams are coming to town.
