The Addams Family animated film gets a spooky first poster

Get your snapping fingers ready.

This fall, the Addams family is returning to the silver screen in a new animated incarnation. Although the first trailer for The Addams Family won’t drop until next month, we can get our first glimpse of the iconic characters — originally created as cartoons by Charles Addams and brought to life in a 1960s TV series and a pair of ’90s live-action movies — in a brand-new poster… and the whole gang looks particularly ghoulish.

The film has an all-star cast, including Oscar Isaac as romantic patriarch Gomez and Charlize Theron as his seductive wife, Morticia. Chloe Grace Moretz will voice Wednesday (are those nooses in her pigtails?) and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard will portray Pugsley. The ensemble also includes Allison Janney, Aimee Garcia, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Eighth Grade breakout Elsie Fisher.

Sausage Party’s Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan are directing.

The premise of the film involves the Addams family facing off against a reality TV host (Janney) who’s “consumed with a desire for absolute suburban pastel perfection.” All the while, the Addamses attempt to prepare for a massive family get-together.

Catch them in theaters Oct. 11.
