Elton John's Temper Tantrums Through The Years

He's as famous for his fiery temper tantrums and diva moments as he is for his music. Legend Elton John is currently on his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in Australia, which will last until March 2020.

After landing at Sydney airport on Monday in his private jet, he was seen in video footage hurling a 4,000$ Gucci handbag from the door of the plane towards staff on the ground. He then stomped down the stairs in a huff before getting into an Audi Q7 and being driven away.

The hugely famous singer has had many diva moments in the past, from fights with other celebrities to speaking to his staff in a rude manner.

He Launched A Tirade At Security Staff Recently

Throwing his luggage around is not the first time Elton has showed his angry side towards staff. During a concert in Perth on Saturday he ranted at staff who allegedly kicked a fan out of the venue. In video footage from the concert, Elton can be heard screaming, "Hey, you two security guards with the girl... f--k off! Let her up here immediately... come on, you c--ts!"

Other concert-goers were shocked at his language, however it was claimed he later apologized.

This isn't the first time he has ranted at staff during a concert. In 2015 he became angry at security guards in the UK for telling members of the audience they couldn't put their hands in the air. He yelled, "These people have come to hear music and if they want to put their hands in the air let them. This is not fu--ing China, so p--s off!"

He's Had Trouble With Other Celebrities

In 2004, Elton started a feud with Madonna that lasted for a good number of years. During the Q Awards, he spoke about her saying, "Madonna, best live act? F**k off. Since when has lip-syncing been live?”

He also called her a "fairground stripper and a "nightmare." It's not entirely surprising that Madonna felt attacked and angry but it is surprising she ever forgave him.

Apparently Elton bought her dinner when they bumped into each other at the same restaurant in 2016, and he apologized to her. Well, if free food came with the apology then I would probably forgive him too.

Ranting At Fans During A Concert

In 2018, Elton let slip another foul-mouthed rant during a concert in Las Vegas. A few fans were lucky enough to be invited up on stage while the crooner sang one of his most famous songs "Saturday Night's Alright."

However, one of them got a little too close for comfort, and Elton had a major meltdown. He stormed off the stage in anger, and when he returned, he told concert-goers, "No more coming on stage during Saturday Night. You f***ed it up."

Matthew Jay, a fan who attended the concert, later said of the incident, “During Saturday Night they brought a ton of people on stage, and one guy wouldn't stop touching him.He went off mic and clearly mouthed 'f*** off' twice and then pushed his hand. He left, and they cut the song short and ushered everyone off stage and escorted the guy out of the building.”

Feuding With Fashion Designers

The singing legend claimed he would boycott Dolce & Gabbana after they made some controversial comments about IVF babies in 2015. In a magazine interview, the two designers claimed babies made using IVF are "synthetic."

Elton was furious, lashing out in a post online, writing, "How dare you refer to my beautiful children as 'synthetic'. And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana."

Elton John has had his fair share of diva moments and feuds, but one defnitely can't complain about his singing abilities so we'll give him a pass.
