The couple kept going for two years and fans were convinced that they had finally found themselves and were ready to be together. In December, Miley walked down the isle in a private ceremony in Nashville, Tennesse and she was officially Mrs. Hemsworth. However, the couple did not last long. In August 2019, Cyrus revealed that she and her ex-husband were going their separate ways and eleven days later, she filed for a divorce. This confused a lot of people as the duo had not been married for long and they seemed like they were good.
Addressing the doubt and confusion in fans' minds, Cyrus stated her reasons for the divorce clearly. According to the singer, the wedding took place because they had lost their home in a fire. She also revealed that the ceremony was nothing like she had dreamed of when she saw herself in a white dress walking down the aisle. However, the divorce proceedings were settled on irreconcilable differences between the couple. Later on, Cyrus revealed that she and Cody Simpson were in a relationship.

Speaking to Women's Secret Laundry, Pataky mentioned that Hemsworth was discouraged after the divorce as he had spent ten years of his life with Cyrus and that yielded nothing. However, he seems to be taking each day as it comes. Pataky also mentioned that the actor had the support of her and her husband and that helped him a lot.
The "Thor" character has kept to himself since his divorce from Cyrus and has not addressed any issue concerning her. Presently, he is romantically involved with an Australian actress known as Maddison Brown and the duo are keeping a low profile. It may not be what everyone experienced when he was with Cyrus, but the duo are amazing together.
It still a big shock that the HemsCyrus pair did not make it to a lifetime, but we are glad that they are doing well wherever they are.
