Elliott Smith’s XO and Figure 8 Get Vinyl Reissues

By Sheldon Pearce.

Two Elliott Smith albums are getting vinyl reissues: his 1998 major label debut, XO, and 2000’s Figure 8, which was his final album before his death. Both are out tomorrow via Geffen/UMe. In addition to standard LPs, both albums will be available in colored vinyl, limited to 500 copies. XO will be pressed on black and white marbled vinyl; one of Figure 8’s two LPs will be on clear vinyl, the other white. Find images of the limited-edition LPs below. The XO and Figure 8 reissues follow the 20th anniversary reissue of Smith’s 1997 classic Either/Or.
