Ellen DeGeneres flipped the script on Ashley Graham on Thursday's episode of "The Ellen Show." Graham was participating in a talk show game called "Lightning Round", which the soon to be mother often plays on her podcast. Ashley usually asks the questions but this time it was Ellen's turn to put Graham on the spot.
The rapid-fire questions were pretty innocent until Ellen asked about her baby's gender. The model had not previously revealed whether she was having a boy or a girl with her husband, Justin Ervin. "Are you having a boy or a girl?" Ellen asked the flustered model who responded "a boy!" without even thinking.
"We're having a boy!!!!" she screamed as Ellen and the crowd cheered. "I'm gonna be a mommy to a boy."
Mommy's Gotta Workout!
Ashley and Justin revealed that they were expecting back in August but stayed silent on other details. She also detailed how tired she is trying to keep up with work and her workouts. "There's no time for naps," Graham said and described how she chooses exercise rather than catching up on some shut-eye.
"I literally flew in and now I'm like, 'Oh my God, I'm exhausted, I just need to take a little nap," she said describing the travel hangover she is experiencing. "I can't because here I am with you so I took the 3lb weights and just started doing weights backstage." Ellen asked how the runway model was feeling and Ashley exclaimed, "PREGNANT!"
Ashley Gives Back
Ashley was also promoting season 2 of her series on Ellentube, "Fearless." The second segment featured Army veteran and cancer survivor, Jaime, who Ashley had the new season. Ellen and Ashley welcomed the brave survivor and commended her for her spirit.
Jamie talked about how much the show has changed her life for the better. "I feel like it lit a fire under my butt," the teary-eyed vet said. Jamie was grateful for all the love and support she has been receiving but nothing could have prepared her for the surprise Ellen had in store for her. The single mom of two was gifted $25,000 from a sponsor of the program. "
You Won't Believe what gets Ashley Going
Ashley just revealed that the Holy Spirit is what brings her husband and her together in that very special way. She spilled the tea on YouTuber Lilly Singh's podcast, "A Little Late with Lilly Singh" on Wednesday.
"I like to do meditations and prayer and so does he on his own," the 32-year-old star said. "But then, when we do it together, it just feels more powerful," she said. "When we're praying, it's like, 'Oh, s---. Oh, oh, do you feel that?'" she said.
"The lights go down, the worship music goes up and we're like, 'Hello!'...After we pray, 'cause priorities, we rip it off! It's great," Graham told Lilly. "It's a great bonding experience, for both, you know, the spiritual aspect and the physical aspect." As the saying goes, the family that prays together plays together and Ashley and Justin are proof of that.
