Ellen DeGeneres Calls Wife Portia de Rossi 'the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me' in 51st Birthday Tribute

Ellen DeGeneres is helping to make her wife Portia de Rossi feel extra special on her birthday!
As the Arrested Development alum turned 51 on Wednesday, DeGeneres shared a photo of her wife posing with a horse. The comedian also included a sweet message that began: "Happy birthday to my amazing wife."
"You are the best thing that ever happened to me," DeGeneres, 66, continued. "You are a gift and I'm grateful for you everyday. I'm so lucky you love me almost as much as you love horses."

The couple's close friend, Kris Jenner, also posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute for de Rossi, featuring photos of the trio alongside the reality star's boyfriend Corey Gamble.
"Happy Birthday beautiful @portiaderossi!!!! You are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside! You are the most talented back up dancer that I have ever worked with!" The Kardashians star, 68, wrote.
"Thank you for all of the amazing memories that we make and for being the best BFF a girl could ever ask for. You are such a special girl, so kind, sweet, smart, talented, creative, strong, generous, funny, you pick the best wallpaper and have the greatest hair… oh and style!!!!!" Jenner continued. "You are an exceptional equestrian and are the best to travel with always!!!!! You make a fabulous cocktail and are the greatest host! I love you very much I hope your day is magical 😍🤩🥳🥰😘🎂."
Just five days earlier, de Rossi helped the Ellen DeGeneres Show host ring in her 66th birthday on Jan. 26. The actress' tribute included a video of DeGeneres working out alongside a loving message.
"My darling wife! You continue to amaze me and inspire me," de Rossi wrote on Instagram. "Happy Birthday to the strongest, sweetest, most brilliant person I know. I’m so lucky to be standing next to you as we share this incredible life together. I love you. 💕."

DeGeneres and de Rossi met in 2001 while backstage at a concert, but they didn't begin dating until 2004. They got engaged in May 2008 and tied the knot that August during an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home.
Last year, de Rossi surprised DeGeneres with a vow renewal ceremony officiated by Jenner. The Scandal alum even re-wore the Zac Posen wedding dress she wore to the pair's initial ceremony.
