A pair of Elle King concerts next month in Michigan's Upper Peninsula have been postponed amid fallout from the singer's recent performance at a Dolly Parton tribute at the Grand Ole Opry, where she told the crowd she was "(expletive) hammered."

King's concerts on Feb. 23 and 24 at Island Resort and Casino in Harris, Michigan, have been moved to March 29 and 30, "due to an unforeseen circumstance," according to a news release Thursday from the casino.

On Wednesday, Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth announced on its Instagram that King's show scheduled there for Friday has been moved to Sept. 21. It did not give a reason. In an Instagram story Thursday, King announced five rescheduled dates in all for January and February.

King, known for such country hits as "Ex's & Oh's" and "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)" with Miranda Lambert, was among the performers at a Friday celebration of Parton's 78th birthday at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. She was captured on video performing what fans thought was a tasteless cover of Parton's "Marry Me."

According to one TikTok video, she admitted onstage she didn't know the words: "I don't know the lyrics to these things in this (expletive) town / Don't tell Dolly 'cause it's her birthday." Addressing the audience, she said: "I'm not even gonna (expletive) lie … y'all bought tickets for this (expletive), you ain't getting your money back."

She also said: "I'll tell you one thing more … hi, my name is Elle King. I'm (expletive) hammered."

The Grand Ole Opry apologized for King's language on X (formerly Twitter) after someone on the social media platform posted that King, who is the daughter of actor and comedian Rob Schneider, had "ruined the night with her horrible, drunk, and profane performance."

There are no longer any February tour dates shown on her website. The next date listed is March 1 at a festival in Tempe, Arizona.

Tickets for King's previously scheduled shows at the Island Showroom will be valid for the new dates. For ticket holders who cannot attend the March shows, call 1-877-475-7375 for refunds.

Hotel reservations will not automatically be transferred to the new dates. Call 800-682-6040 to change reservations.
