Elle Fanning Debuts on Instagram in the Most Fanning Way Possible

Actress Elle Fanning, who turned 18 over the weekend, can now snap a pic of herself in a suggestive pose, wearing a teeny-tiny bikini and share it with the world in seconds. She joined Instagram!
But c'mon, she’s a Fanning, and Elle and her older sister, 22-year-old former child star Dakota, subscribe to the Jodie Foster or Natalie Portman way of conducting themselves in public. In fact, Elle has made her debut on the photo-sharing website in the most Fanning way possible.
The first photo showed her gorgeous birthday cake, which was decorated in pink and gold. (So, you know, no penis cake or anything.)
“I decided to give myself a birthday present… a public Instagram…. SURPRISE!” she captioned the post.
The two other photos Elle’s shared so far show a teenager who just so happens to be a movie star. On Sunday, she did some glow-in-the-dark bowling.

She kept it real in a Monday morning post that looked like it was shot on the car ride to her L.A. private school, Campbell Hall.

“Spring break over,” the senior captioned it. “Back to early school wake-ups.” Elle’s older sister — who was a cheerleader and member of the homecoming court at the same school a few years ago — joined Insta just four weeks ago herself.

The Runaways actress has mostly shared the kind of down-to-earth images that you’d expect from her — pics of her horse, her dog, a welcoming post for a friend, fellow movie star Kirsten Dunst.

Dakota’s only shared a couple of snapshots where she’s all glammed up. One, which was taken for W Magazine back in 2011, was to wish her little sis a happy birthday.
