Ella Emhoff, Kamala Harris' stepdaughter, lands fashion ad campaign with Mulberry

Ella Emhoff is keeping her foot on the gas with her modeling career.

On Wednesday, Vice President Kamala Harris' stepdaughter modeled in a campaign with British luxury fashion brand Mulberry to celebrate the opening of a flagship store in New York City.

Emhoff posed with an excess of Mulberry bags from the brand's Softie collection in various locations throughout the city. Mulberry specializes in leather goods such as handbags, wallets and luggage, as well as various other accessories.

"Emhoff, as one of fashion’s freshest voices and whose passion for responsible craft is at the heart of her own newly launched knitwear label, perfectly embodies the free-spirited mood of the Mulberry 100 Wooster Street campaign," a press release stated.

In addition to 23-year-old's photoshoot for the ad campaign, New Yorkers will see her face in a mural painted on the corner of Spring Street and Wooster Street and on posters throughout SoHo.

Emhoff's career in modeling has skyrocketed after turning heads with her fashion choice for her stepmother's inauguration in January 2021. She soon after signed with IMG Models.

In February 2021, she marked two major accomplishments within two days: making her runway debut for Proenza Schouler at New York Fashion Week, and then landing her first magazine cover.

The up-and-coming model was featured on the cover of the European fashion magazine Dust’s spring 2021 issue. The former art student and knitwear designer donned one of her own designs, a pastel-colored knitted sweater with a teddy bear among other designs.

Emhoff then had a successful fall fashion week in September, walking for Proenza Schouler at New York Fashion Week followed by making her Paris Fashion Week debut as a runway model for Balenciaga.

The knitwear designer capped off September with a Met Gala debut in a futuristic diamond bodysuit.

"I'm someone who's really passionate about comfort," she told The New York Times at the time. "Even though this is the Met, everyone is allowed to still feel comfortable in their own skin, their own style. There’s no playbook to how you dress to this.”
