BRISTOL — Elkhart Civic Theatre holds auditions for its ECT Youth Production of “Finding Nemo Jr.” at 10 a.m. Nov. 18 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Bristol Opera House, 210 E. Vistula St.

Based on the 2003 Pixar movie, the 60-minute musical adaptation contains new music by the award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (“Frozen,” “Coco”).

Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid, Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean.

Auditions consist of a vocal and a dance portion along with some cold readings from the script. Those auditioning do not need to prepare anything, and all materials will be provided at auditions.

Those auditioning for Elkhart Civic Theatre’s youth productions must be 8-18 years of age. Bring a list of all potential conflicts from Nov. 27 to Jan. 21.

“Finding Nemo Jr.” is co-directed by Brock Butler and Demarée Dufour-Noneman with choreography by Jackiejo Brewers and vocal direction by Trish Habegger.

Performances are Jan. 18-21.
