The Hulu series “The Dropout,” which will tell the story of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, has locked in an impressive lineup of guest stars.

William H. Macy, Laurie Metcalf, Elizabeth Marvel, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Kate Burton, Stephen Fry, Michel Gill, Michael Ironside, Bill Irwin, and Josh Pais have all joined the show. They will appear alongside series lead Amanda Seyfried, who will play Holmes, and Naveen Andrews, who will play Sunny Balwani.

More from Variety

Macy will play Richard Fuisz, an ex-CIA agent and an inventor of biomedical devices. A friend of the Holmes family, he is initially upset when he learns that Elizabeth has started a medical tech startup without consulting him, and his resentment and obsession will have serious ramifications for Elizabeth and Theranos.

Macy is repped by ICM Partners.

Metcalf will play Phyllis Gardner, a scientist, doctor and successful entrepreneur. As a woman in a predominately male world, she has been through the ringer and has had to confront sexism her whole career. She will ultimately be among those responsible for bringing the truth about Elizabeth and Theranos to light.

Metcalf is repped by WME.

Marvel will appear as Noel Homes, Elizabeth Holmes’ mother. Marvel is repped by Innovative Artists and Viking Entertainment.

Irwin will play Channing Robertson, head of Chemical engineering and professor at Stanford and an early cheerleader of Elizabeth Holmes. Irwin is repped by Innovative Artists and Viking Entertainment.

Ambudkar will appear as Rakesh Madhava, one of the first employees at Theranos. Ambudkar is repped by 3 Arts Entertainment, Gersh, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Fry will play Ian Gibbons, the brilliant head of chemistry at Theranos. Fry is repped by ICM and Hamilton Hodell.

Gill will play Chris Holmes, Elizabeth Holmes’ father and hero. Gill is repped by A3 Artists Agency and Industry Entertainment.

Pais will appear as Wade Maquelon. Wade is the CFO of Walgreens. Skeptical about Theranos, he thinks start-ups are risky, but he doesn’t want to be left in the dust if Elizabeth goes to a competitor. Pais is repped by Innovative Artists.

Ironside will play Don Lucas, one of the first venture capitalists to invest in Theranos. Ironside is repped by TalentWorks and The Artist Representation Company.

Burton will appear as Rochelle Gibbons. She is repped by Gersh and Principal Entertainment.

Holmes, the enigmatic Stanford dropout, founded medical testing start-up Theranos. She was lauded as a Steve Jobs for the next tech generation. Once worth billions of dollars, the myth crumbled when it was revealed that none of the tech actually worked, putting thousands of people’s health in grave danger.

Elizabeth Meriwether will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series, with Liz Heldens, Liz Hannah, Katherine Pope, Rebecca Jarvis, Victoria Thompson, and Taylor Dunn also executive producing. Seyfried will produce in addition to starring. The show is based on the ABC Radio and ABC News podcast about Holmes. Jarvis hosted the podcast, which was produced by Thompson and Dunn. 20th Television and Searchlight will serve as the studios.
