The actress also said she rarely gets recognized for portraying Princess Diana on "The Crown," even though it involves much less gold makeup than the "GOTG" movies.

A decade after breaking through in American films, Elizabeth Debicki has racked up all manner of acting highlights. Walking the red carpet at the 30th SAG Awards on Saturday, where she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her work on The Crown, Debicki said that one of her favorite career moments came from a role very different from that of Princess Diana.

"I did play a gold alien queen in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and 3. Didn't see that on the bingo card!" the Australian actress told EW's Patrick Gomez and PEOPLE's Janine Rubenstein. "I very much enjoyed myself! I enjoy when people think of you in a completely random way. That's my favorite bit of being an actor."

As fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will recall, Debicki played Ayesha, the imperious leader of the genetically engineered Sovereign people, in the James Gunn-directed superhero movies.

And while Debicki may be hard to recognize under all that gold makeup, she also said most people don't even recognize her for her performance on The Crown.

"In my real life, I very rarely get recognized as Princess Diana," Debicki said. "People say, 'Oh, what do you do?' 'Oh I'm an actor.' 'What have I seen you in?' 'Have you seen The Crown?' 'Oh yeah, I love that show.' It's like, 'do I do the next bit…?' It's a testament to the crew, the hair and makeup team!"
