Armie Hammer's estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers is focused on her journey forward co-parenting with the actor.

Chambers, 40, revealed in an interview with E! News published Wednesday that she watched the explosive "House of Hammer" documentary about her ex "with my support system around me."

"It was obviously heartbreaking on so many levels and very painful," she said. "But at the same time, it exists. The past is the past and all we can do is take this as a moment to learn and listen, and hopefully process and heal in every capacity."

The three-part docuseries (now streaming on Discovery+) details the abuse and sexual assault allegations, including an alleged rape currently under investigation by the Los Angeles police, against Hammer, known for roles in"The Social Network" and "Call Me by Your Name."

Courtney Vucekovich, who says she dated Hammer, 36, for several months in 2020, shares the dark moments of their relationship in "House of Hammer." Artist Julia Morrison, who says she never met  Hammer in person, reveals his disturbing messages.

Hammer, who strongly denied all accounts of his alleged crimes and unconventional sexual practices, declined to be interviewed for "House of Hammer," according to directors Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs. A rep for Hammer did not respond to USA TODAY for comment about the documentary.

Chambers told E! she was also asked to be in the documentary, but "in this process, all that's mattered and does matter is the kids and our family, and that was not something that was going to be in line with my goals for them."

She added that she was "surprised" by some of the details about the Hammer family she learned.

"I consider myself a feminist and stand in solidarity with anyone who has been a victim of any sort and hope they find healing," Chambers said.

Hammer and Chambers split in 2020 after 10 years of marriage. They are parents to daughter Harper, 7, and son Ford, 5.

In July 2020, Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers announced they were getting a divorce after 10 years of marriage.

Despite their pending divorce and Hammer's fallout from Hollywood, Chambers said she and the actor have still managed to co-parent.

"We are in a really great place. We talk all the time," she said. "We're committed fully and wholly to our children, and to being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our kids. Kids need their mom; kids need their dad. So there's nothing we won't do."

Chambers added that she's supporting Hammer as he works through healing.

"It's going to make him the best father, the best person he can be," she said. "Obviously he processes everything else that he's dealing with personally — and that's his own journey now.
