Elizabeth Banks Reveals The ONE Thing That Stops Her From Getting Botox

Banks is all about her "natural beauty" and has been open about embracing the idea of aging instead of looking for ways to slow it down.

Hollywood star Elizabeth Banks plans to age with grace and has no plans on getting Botox.

During a chat with Us WeeklyBanks revealed that her "very high" self-esteem is to thank for her decision to remain natural. She noted, "I'm an all-natural beauty," adding, "Nothing's ever gone in here, you can tell."

"And that's because my self-esteem is really high. I try and focus on my confidence and less on how I look," Banks continued while promoting the skincare brand No. 7.

According to the "The Hunger Games" star, “hydration, more water, sleep, diet [and] exercise" are the essentials in her skincare routine.

Banks told the publication, "I've really come to understand that so much of [skincare] is what's inside as much as the outside. To me, I find that when I don’t go outside every day, when I don’t exercise, my mental health deteriorates."

"When your mental health deteriorates, your self-esteem goes with it. Suddenly, all my habits are out the window," the actress added.

Banks having never gotten Botox is a massive feat as it is all the rage in the entertainment industry, with actors, singers, and influencers lining up to get injections regularly to maintain a youthful appearance.

Besides maintaining her flawless skin, Banks also embraces the natural process of aging.

In an interview with People magazine earlier this year, the "Walk of Shame" star revealed that her "philosophy" is to "age gracefully."

While talking about her skincare brand partnership, she said, "I'm trying to age gracefully, but I also want to feel confident that I'm doing what I can to stay confident about aging. My mental health is most important when it comes to beauty."

She added, "We live in a society that loves and values youth and beauty. I get it. I love looking at beautiful young people too. I like to remind people, you're never going to look as good as you do today, right now, because aging is a privilege. It's better than the alternative, right? You want to age, trust me."

The "Pitch Perfect" star revealed that she finds inspiration by following women who are "vibrant" and "excited about doing things at every age."

"I follow Sharon Stone and Jane Fonda on social media, and more women like that. I love seeing women who are vibrant, active, confident, excited, doing fun things at every age. Mix up your algorithm," Banks said. "Follow people of all ages. Make sure you're getting a sense of reality when it comes to aging and not just looking at filtered Instagram photos."

During an appearance on the "Armless Chair" Podcast, Banks gushed about how happy she was with her natural beauty and said that she would "happily" tell people that she has never put anything in her face.

"That’s something I will happily say to everyone like I have not put anything in my face, I’ve never had a needle in my face … I’m really uninterested in the psychology of starting to mess with my face," Banks said.

She continued, "I would do it if I could happily look in the mirror and not have emotional or psychological baggage doing it, but I just … I don’t want to do it, and I’m trying to resist, and there’s a reason for that and I have to honor it."

The actress then explained why she would never go under the knife, saying that it was a huge risk and that something could go wrong during the process.

She also spoke about her loved ones who have had to have surgery for health reasons, saying that it would be odd for her to put herself in such a situation voluntarily.

"And then I’ve also had friends and my sister who, like, have faced cancer and have had surgeries and stuff, and you’re like, why would I voluntarily put myself under a knife and like anesthesia and all that? It’s all so dangerous, is my point," Banks noted at the time.
