Elizabeth Banks Returns to ‘Modern Family’ to Ruin Valentine’s Day
Elizabeth Banks reprised her role as Cam and Mitchell’s hot-mess friend Sal on Wednesday’s Modern Family. She crashed their event-filled Valentine’s Day plans, along with her son, whom she claimed she was raising gay. He proved it by describing Mitchell’s pants as “tragic.”
Sal, a little sauced up, complained about her boyfriend ditching her on Valentine’s Day, so she did what any scorned woman would do: try to destroy his yacht. While aboard, she grabbed his Tony Award and threatened to pitch it overboard. Cam responded, “I will not tell your gay son that you threw a Tony into the ocean.”
Instead, she accidentally tossed herself overboard. The cold water sobered her up enough to make her realize she should just leave her boyfriend and insult Cam and Mitch one last time.
