El Pasoans can enjoy free ice cream social Thursday at Economy Wholesale Grocers
Looks like summer in El Paso is starting with a big heat wave. The weather is expected to climb above 100 degrees the entire week.
But Economy Wholesale Grocers is offering a cool respite on Thursday, June 22, in celebration of summer.
The two stores, at 411 N. Zaragoza Road and 1500 E. Paisano Drive, will have free ice cream socials from 3 to 6 p.m. Aside from choosing a variety of toppings to make a custom treat, customers can enter a raffle for a variety of gift baskets with Economy products. There also will be sales for Fourth of July barbecues.
Additionally, a contribution will be made to the Alzheimer’s Association West Texas Chapter for Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, Daniel Torres, an account executive, said. Attendees also will be able to register for the organization’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the El Paso Zoo on Nov. 11.
The events are open to the public and ice cream will be available while supplies last.
Enjoy Dutch Bros Coffee drink deal
Dutch Bros Coffee locations are also adding a fun way to celebrate summer Wednesday, June 21.
Participating locations are offering four medium drinks for $15, from 4 to 9 p.m. that day. Featured cool drinks include the Mangonada Rebel, the iced Mangonada lemonade and the Banana Cream Pie Freeze.
El Paso has seven Dutch Bros locations.
Cool off at Bulldog Championship Park
Families are invited to cool off at the Splash Pad at Bulldog Championship Park on Wednesday, June 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.
The first 300 people will get free paletas, or Mexican popsicles at the park, at 316 Buford Road.
