Milwaukee chef Adam Pawlak is returning to national television to compete on the Food Network's new show "Superchef Grudge Match."

This is the second time the Egg & Flour Pasta Bar chef-owner will compete on a national scale. He competed in Season 19 of Fox’s "Hell’s Kitchen," which aired in 2021.

The new show brings together two chefs who have a friendly grudge to settle it in the kitchen. Pawlak will go against Declan Horgan, a chef from Washington, D.C., and fellow contestant on Season 19 of "Hell’s Kitchen."

Horgan and Pawlak were both on the blue team, and Horgan betrayed Pawlak's trust by putting him up for elimination.

“For me, it was a very different experience. There's not as much drama,” Pawlak said, comparing the two competitions.

Pawlak is on just one episode for the Food Network show, different than "Hell’s Kitchen" where chefs competed for weeks and lived together.

“This was a lot more exciting for me because it’s just me cooking food. It was an opportunity to show my skill set,” Pawlak said. “It’s a lot different than spending a long period of time with contestants and eliminations. This is just food and skill and chefs going head-to-head. It’s a little more in my wheelhouse.”

Pawlak said he wants to compete more.

"I'm a really big fan of it. It's not the fact of going on TV, it's more about the setting and structure to push myself and perform on a big stage," Pawlak said.

Pawlak's episode of "Superchef Grudge Match" will air at 8 p.m. Feb. 28. He will celebrate with a private viewing at the Bay View Egg & Flour, 2273 S. Howell Ave.

Egg & Flour at Crossroad Collective, 2238 N Farwell Ave., will be open that night.
