Edward Enninful Signs With WME (EXCLUSIVE)

Edward Enninful has signed with WME for representation, Variety has learned exclusively. He continues to be repped for Business Affairs by Tahir Basheer and Chris Paget at Sheridans.

The British Vogue chief made history in 2017 as Vogue’s first Black editor-in-chief, where he continued to champion diversity and inclusion, helming innovative issues including the magazine’s first braille edition and shooting five stars with disabilities for the May 2023 cover. In 2024, Enninful will step into a global advisory role at the magazine.

More from Variety

Prior to the appointment, he began his editorial career as fashion director of i-D Magazine at 18, followed by positions at Vogue Italia, American Vogue and W Magazine.

Writing from his own perspective as a Black, gay, working-class refugee, Enninful published his memoir, “A Visible Man,” which detailed his journey into one of the world’s most exclusive industries and challenged the former truths that the fashion business operated within, in 2022. WME will handle the film/TV rights for “A Visible Man” in addition to working with Enninful across the entire scope of the agency to bring his creative visions to life.

Most recently, he was named the UK’s most influential Black person by the Powerlist 2024. He was awarded an OBE for his services to diversity in the fashion industry and, in 2018, he was presented with the Media Award in Honor of Eugenia Sheppard at the CFDA Awards in recognition of his contributions to the fashion industry.
