Editors' Picks: Our Favorite Looks from the 2019 SAG Awards

Stars went big in the fashion department at the 2019 SAG Awards. From hot-off-the runway gowns to surprising menswear moments, here are the looks we can’t stop talking about.

Lady Gaga in Dior Couture

Brittany Talarico, Senior Style Editor: The most exciting part about Gaga’s Dior Couture gown is that it hit the runway less than one (!!!) week ago, which shows the influence the superstar has in the fashion world. Not only was the look tailored perfectly to her frame, but in true Gaga fashion, she didn’t hold pack on the accessories adding even more drama with her choice of jewelry from the 2019 Tiffany Blue Book Collection, including a choker featuring over 16 carats of sustainably sourced brilliant diamonds, plus statement earrings and an arm full of bangles.

Rachel Weisz in Givenchy Haute Couture

Andrea Lavinthal, Style and Beauty Director: Maybe it’s because I saw — and loved, loved, loved — The Favourite the night before the SAG Awards so now I’m biased, but Rachel Weisz wore my absolute favorite (sorry I couldn’t help it), dress of the night. The Givenchy Haute Couture gown was equal parts elegant and edgy, featuring a black velvet one-shoulder top and sleek silver metal belt, plus a stunning skirt made of metallic-tinted ostrich feathers. She set the style bar high for herself and I can’t wait to see what she wears to the Oscars.

Gemma Chan in Oscar de la Renta

Kaitlyn Frey, Style & Beauty Assistant: Gemma Chan has been one of my favorite fresh faces to watch on the red carpet this awards season and the Crazy Rich Asians actress’s romantic, one shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown didn’t disappoint. The flowing, scalloped skirt looked playful and feminine, while the breathtaking 29.59-carat Harry Winston chandelier diamond earrings made the ensemble feel the utmost glam. Her fresh faced makeup and soft low-hanging updo completed the effortlessly beautiful look.

Henry Golding in Tom Ford

Colleen Kratofil, Style Writer-Reporter: There were a lot of standout style moments from the men at the SAG Awards red carpet, but one that surprised me the most was Henry Golding’s high-shine gold Tom Ford suit jacket. It was flashy, fashionable and had just the right amount of shine to really pop on the carpet. But my favorite aspect of his look was the light pink silk scarf layered underneath his jacket. It was such a dapper touch to his bold look.

Laura Harrier in Loewe

Alex Apatoff, Lifestyle Director: Laura’s been one to watch since she started hitting the carpet for the nominated BlackKklansman, because she has so much fun with fashion and is never, ever boring. With its puff sleeves, fitted bodice and ballgown silhouette, her vibrant Loewe gown is all glamour – but the shocking pink color, matching lip and perfectly-chosen Bulgari jewelry keeps the look youthful and modern.
