Eddie Redmayne Didn't Know That 'Fantastic Beasts'Would Be 5-Movie Franchise

Eddie Redmayne was on Ellen and talked about the moment he learned that his upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, will have four additional installments. “So we had this fan event for Fantastic Beasts and we were all there and then at the end, J.K. Rowling arrived, which again was a complete shock for us,” Redmayne recounted. “Whenever she comes, we turn into excitable children. We didn’t realize it was going to be five films. That was sort of a very shocked moment, when all of the cast, the four of us, were agasp. So excited.”

It was in October that Rowling attended said event at The Empire theater in London. She said, “I’m pretty sure that there are going to be five movies, now that I’ve been able to properly plot them out. We always knew that there would be more than one.”
