Eddie Money Reveals He's Battling Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer

Eddie Money broke the news to the world that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer in a new clip from his AXS TV series, "Real Money."

"I thought I was going in for a check-up and he [the doctor] told me that I have cancer," Money said as the clip begins. “We found out that I had cancer and that it was stage 4 and that it was in my liver and my lymph nodes and a little bit in my stomach… It hit me really, really hard.”

The "Two Tickets To Paradise" singer is not giving up and he wants the world to know about his journey.

"I want to be honest with everybody," Money said. "I want people to know that cancer's come a long way and not everybody dies form cancer like they did in the 50s and the 60s."

"Am I gonna live a long time? Who knows? It's in God's hands," he continued, "but you know what? I'll take everyday I can get."

Eddie's wife, Laurie, was a little more specific about his diagnosis saying the cancer is in his esophagus, that he has a tumor in the top of his stomach and it has spread to his liver.

This past July, Money canceled his summer tour after developing pneumonia while recovering from heart valve surgery.

Despite all the recent health scares, Eddie is planning on airing all of his life on his reality show and tour later this year.
