Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn stepped out for the “perfect” date night.

The singer-songwriter, 32, was photographed with his wife of nearly six years for the first time in months on Monday. The couple enjoyed a night out together dining at an upscale restaurant in the posh neighborhood Mayfair in London.

The Grammy winner and Seaborn — who share daughters Lyra Antarctica, 3, and Jupiter, 18 months — were all smiles as they stepped out of the establishment and appeared to keep it casual for their low-key date. The Autumn Variations artist dressed ready for fall in a suede, fur-lined bomber jacket, paired with a red shirt, black pants and Nikes. The consultant and sustainability advocate, meanwhile, wore head-to-toe denim and sneakers.

After their meal, the hitmaker reportedly stopped to greet and take photos with fans who recognized him on the street.

The “Eyes Closed” singer also posted to Instagram to share a sweet photo from the night. In a carousel of recent personal photos — including snapshots out at the pub with friends and enjoying a beverage on the beach — he posted a selfie with his wife. While sharing a bottle of red wine, the couple put on serious faces and Sheeran threw up a cheeky middle finger in the shot.

The pair appears to be spending quality time together, now that Sheeran is back home in the U.K. after being out on the road for much of this year on the +–=÷× Tour (The Mathematics Tour). The folk-pop artist toured across North America from the spring into the fall, wrapping up the final, postponed date in late October.

While the singer-songwriter is currently on a break, he’ll continue promoting his 2023 albums Autumn Variations and - (Subtract) in 2024, as he heads to the Middle East and Asia in January.

Sheeran and Seaborn met in high school and began dating when they reconnected in 2015. The couple has been famously private about their relationship over the years, although the entrepreneur made a rare appearance in Sheeran’s Disney+ docuseries, Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All, which dropped earlier this year.

In a May interview with The Elvis Duran Morning Show, Sheeran opened up about why the duo has tried to keep their marriage out of the spotlight.

"Cherry sort of touches on it in the documentary, and we've talked about this a lot, whether we can close the door after we've opened it a little bit," Sheeran said. "She's always been a private person. She's never had a public Instagram. She's never done a red carpet with me. We've always been super private. Our private life is our private life."

The recording artist has still offered sweet insights into their relationship over the years.

Upon the release of his seventh studio album in September, the star told TikTok creator and private chef Meredith Hayden of @wishbonekitchen in a video that spending time in the kitchen with his wife informed the project.

“It was actually cooking that inspired me to make it,” he said of the hit record. “Me and my wife always put on Norah Jones.”

The songwriter’s Disney+ docuseries also shed light on the couple’s private challenges, including Seaborn’s cancer diagnosis.

He also used the opportunity to express just how much his wife means to him. "It's the most amazing thing in my life that nobody really knows about," he says in the series. "Everything in my life got so much better when she got into it."
