Ed Sheeran Recalls Smoking With Snoop Dogg: “I Can’t See Right Now”

Ed Sheeran details a time he might have gone overboard with marijuana. Speaking with Conan O’Brien on the Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, the chart-topping singer recalled passing blunts with Snoop Dogg and slowly, but surely feeling the effects.

Sheeran and his wife and mother-in-law all attended a Snoop Dogg show in Melbourne, Australia recently where the smoking session went down backstage.

According to PEOPLE, Sheeran is “quite close friends” with Russell Crowe, who is friends with Snoop Dogg and also joined the group backstage. He continues to detail how the rapper and the actor “have smoke-offs.”

For the “I Don’t Care” performer himself, he shared that smoking weed was not his lane. However, he decided to indulge that day.

“I don’t really smoke at all,” Sheeran explained. “I was in the dressing room and they’re just [smoking] blunt for blunt for blunt for blunt, and I’m like, I guess at some point during the night I have to, just to be like, ‘I smoked with Snoop Dogg.’”

He continued to elaborate on his reaction as more weed was continuously passed around.

“I just remember looking at him and being like, ‘I can’t see right now.'”

Elsewhere in the conversation, the “Shape Of You” singer shared a similar experience with another musician.

“There’s an artist that I work quite a lot with called Burna Boy, and I’d say that’s the most I’ve ever seen anyone ingest weed,” Sheeran revealed.

He continued to explain, “It was very much the studio door is closed, and just — smoke, smoke, smoke, smoke,” adding, “I remember walking on stage at the gig, and same thing, like, ‘I’m not quite here.'”
