East Nashville's 3 Crow Bar set to be replaced by new concept from Buds & Brews owners

3 Crow Bar, a long standing bar in East Nashville's Five Points neighborhood, is expected to be replaced by a yet-to-be announced new concept by the folks behind Buds & Brews in Germantown.

The same ownership group behind The Holistic Connection and Buds & Brews is set to close on the property Wednesday, according to a statement from the company.

The new business however, is yet to be announced as it's currently in the concept stages.

"Buds & Brews was the first concept restaurant, and it's doing great and so they're trying to determine if that's the right thing for East Nashville or if they're going to do something different," a spokesperson for the company said.

The concept of the new business is expected to be announced shortly.

Change at East Nashville hangout comes after staffing controversy

3 Crow Bar was heavily criticized online back in 2021 after many of its longtime staff quit abruptly.

Once word spread that many esteemed employees were no longer working there, patrons went on Facebook and other social media platforms to express their concerns, even asking for a boycott of the bar.

In response, the bar said many of the employees left willingly and that the changes were made in the best interest of both the business as well as the East Nashville community.

"We have changed the way we work and the way we must live our lives. 3 Crow Bar now has a new management team and staff," bar owners said via lawyer Michael Killen. "Everyone who wanted to be a part of this positive change was welcome to do so."

Killen's statement went on to thank the employees and wished them luck in their future endeavors.
