The Cleveland Browns have a variety of injury concerns going into tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup with the Denver Broncos. Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah are out for the game already.

As noted in yesterday’s final injury report, the Browns have a number of players that are listed as questionable for the game:

  • WR Odell Beckham Jr.

  • DE Jadeveon Clowney

  • RT Jack Conklin

  • DT Malik Jackson

  • LB Malcolm Smith

  • C J.C. Tretter

  • LT Jedrick Wills

  • LB Mack Wilson

Not noted on the final injury report, because technically he is still on the injured reserve list, was Jarvis Landry. Landry is was designated for return from the injured reserve but was not activated last week. Cleveland has until 4 PM today to activate him to the roster.

Early Thursday morning we got updates from James Palmer of the NFL Network on a few of the big names on this list. Start at receiver, Palmer is reporting that Landry will likely return while Beckham is unlikely:

With Beckham unable to practice all week, this was the likely outcome for the team’s top receiver. Landry was able to do some activities last week which was encouraging for his return this week. He must be activated from injured reserve no later than Week 8’s game.

On the offensive line, Palmer is reporting that Wills will return after missing last week but that Conklin will not:

With Conklin out last week, rookie James Hudson III took his place with Blake Hance stepping in for Wills at left tackle. Hudson struggled while Hance held his own which could lead to Hance moving over to right tackle tonight.

We will keep you up to date on all significant injury reports here on Browns Wire on the ramp-up to Thursday Night Football. The teams’ official inactive lists should come out shortly before 7 PM tonight.
