Early Fantasy Football pickups for Week 10: Three players to add

The race for the fantasy playoffs ramping up, so keeping an eye out for potential help on the waiver wire is as important as ever. With four teams on bye in Week 10 (Eagles, Chiefs, Raiders, Ravens), here are three early options to consider adding:

Danny Woodhead, RB, Baltimore Ravens – 27 percent owned

Immediately grabbing 3 balls for 33 yards in the opening moments of Week 1, Woodhead’s 2017 had promise. Unfortunately, a hamstring injury sent him to the IR, dashing owners’ hopes that the pass-catching back would emerge as the Ravens’ primary chain mover. Things may be turning around, however, as Woodhead is expected to see the field as soon as Week 11. More talented than Buck Allen, the former Charger figures to rise up the depth chart and is nice stash for PPR enthusiasts.

Robert Woods, WR, Los Angeles Rams – 33 percent

Posting a 4-70-2 stat line in Week 9, Woods continued to lead the Rams’ receivers in targets, catches, and yards. In Week 10, he’ll face a Texans secondary that’s struggled to cover No. 2 receivers, allowing the eighth most fantasy points to opposing wideouts.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Minnesota Vikings – 5 percent

Offering the upside of the unknown, Bridgewater is expected to return in Week 10. A former first-round draft pick, the Louisville product was considered an ascending talent before suffering a catastrophic knee injury. Operating behind a surprisingly solid pass-protecting unit and with legit pass-catching weapons at his disposal, Bridgewater could be stream worthy if he gets the starting nod ahead of Case Keenum upon his return. If Bridgewater has to wait, it won’t likely be long before he’s starting again, which makes him a decent stash with byes still in play and studs at the position lost to injury.
