Earl Thomas released from the Baltimore Ravens
Charles & Terez explain why many teams will be reluctant to sign the star defender.

CHARLES ROBINSON: The floodgates kind of opened on back channels about Earl since his release from Baltimore about a number of players not liking him. There's talk about was Earl not on time for things, was he blowing things off, was he making excuses.
This thing, the all 22 that he releases, came after allegedly he had blown an assignment. Didn't, I guess, take it as seriously as some of his teammates did, which stimulated a fight. But Terez said something that I think strikes at the heart of this entire thing. When you have a leadership council on the inside of a team, and you have a--
TEREZ PAYLOR: Those guys are typically forgiving.
CHARLES ROBINSON: They are very forgiving, particularly if you are a high-level player.
TEREZ PAYLOR: Yeah.
CHARLES ROBINSON: You bring a lot of juice to the team.
TEREZ PAYLOR: Yes. Can you play?
CHARLES ROBINSON: Can you play?
TEREZ PAYLOR: Are you not replaceable?
CHARLES ROBINSON: Yes. Are you not replaceable? And he should be. For what he is, he should not be a replaceable player. For those guys to line up and essentially that's it, that's the end of it, and everybody's ready to move on, and you don't hear many tears since the release, it speaks pretty loudly.
And now I think you hear Dallas, you hear some of these other teams that are supposedly maybe interested in him. I think there's gonna be more due diligence than people realize--
TEREZ PAYLOR: Oh yeah.
CHARLES ROBINSON: --number one. And I think that contract that the Chiefs, that one-year deal that the Chiefs were interested in--
TEREZ PAYLOR: Yeah, here you go.
CHARLES ROBINSON: This is basically gonna be a--
TEREZ PAYLOR: That's what you're getting.
CHARLES ROBINSON: --very little guaranteed. Easily walkable. If you sign this guy, it's gonna be for this season. You can walk at any point. That's the kind of deal that he's gonna get right now.
Like a team like the Browns. I will say I heard the Browns come up. And I'll tell you, the Browns will do their due diligence. But they're not running out to sign this guy quickly, and I don't know that the Cowboys would or a number of teams.
