It wouldn’t be a proper farewell tour for The Eagles without a special send-off to their native Los Angeles.

On Thursday, the rock icons announced they are adding two L.A. shows onto their Long Goodbye Tour. Dubbed The California Concerts, the “Hotel California” group will play two nights at the Kia Forum in early 2024 on Jan. 5 and 6.

The shows commemorate the 10-year anniversary of when the Grammy winners played an epic six show residency at the venue in January 2014 during its reopening after a major renovation. They also celebrate the music legends' long relationship with the venue: The Eagles first played there in 1975, released the Live at the Forum record in 1976, and have performed there many times in the decades since.

Steely Dan, who has been opening for the group on The Long Goodbye Tour, will also join them at the L.A. dates.

The group currently featuring Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey — son of the late Glenn Frey, one of the founding members of the band, kicked off their farewell tour in September.

Deacon, 30, rejoins the rockers for the final tour after it was announced in 2022 that he was leaving the band after 4 and a half years to “forge his own path.” He initially joined the band in 2017 after his father Glenn died in 2016 at age 67.

The band began their run with two nights at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 7 and 8. In addition to playing their hits from throughout their career spanning over five decades, they also played a two-song tribute to Jimmy Buffett who died at age 76 in September.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will continue touring throughout the fall before wrapping up this leg of performances in Minneapolis in mid-November before resuming with their California Concerts in 2024.

According to a press release, the band plans to continue performing “as many shows in each market as their audience demands,” with plans to be on the road into 2025.

“The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds,” the band shared in a statement when they announced The Long Goodbye Tour. “Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle.”

The “Take It Easy” band continued, “We hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”
