‘E! News’ Lays Off 2 Dozen LA Staffers in Move to New York

E! News laid off 20-25 of its Los Angeles staffers Tuesday as part of the move to expand its programming slate and transition its Los Angeles-based nightly pop culture show into a New York-based morning program, the network said. The news was delivered Tuesday in a staff meeting held by executive vice president and editor in chief Tammy Filler, a person with knowledge of the staff reduction told TheWrap. Filler joined E! News in April to expand its programming. Employees that were affected by the transition will be able to apply for both Los Angeles and New York based positions on the new shows launching in 2020.
