E! Denies ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Production Shuttered While Kim Cares For Kanye

E! is flatly denying a report its reality flagship series Keeping Up with the Kardashians has shut down production temporarily as Kim Kardashian deals with her husband’s health.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians is currently in production and has not been halted,” an E! rep told Deadline.

This in response to a seemingly contradictory headline-generating report in Kardashian clan de facto newsletter TMZ saying that, while enough episodes for this season’s commitment already have been shot, production has been shut down temporarily in the wake of Kanye West’s hospitalization.

The rapper was hospitalized this month after his national tour was canceled, in progress, on the heels of concert interruptions in which he ranted about Beyonce, Mark Zuckerberg and President-elect Donald Trump. Before the tour got scrubbed, West reportedly cut short one concert after performing just two songs and interrupted another concert to announce he would have voted for Trump, had he voted, as well as his intention to run for POTUS in 2020. “I guess we’re not going to sell out the rest of the tour now,” West forecast when that retro-endorsement did not play well with some ticket-buyers in attendance. Days later, West’s date at The Forum in LA was axed, after which the tour’s remaining dates were canceled.

The E! reality series previously shut down production in October, with no effect on its telecast schedule, when Kardashian was robbed in her hotel room in Paris. She has been “rethinking everything,” TMZ reported today.
